What the developer actually says
Two official sources address this, and they agree.
The press kit fact sheet lists platforms in two lines:

The official FAQ answers the question directly:
"Fields of Mistria is currently available for Windows PC and is also Steam Deck compatible. We are currently evaluating additional platform support. Please stay tuned!"
"Evaluating" is the strongest word the developer has used. There is no announced console version, no platform partner, and no date.
What Steam's own data shows
Pulling the store listing through Steam's official app data confirms the same picture from a second, independent direction:
- Windows: yes
- Linux: yes
- macOS: no
The listing also confirms the game is Single-player only, with full controller support (including DualShock and DualSense) — controller support on PC is often mistaken for a console version.
Can you play it handheld today?
Yes, on Steam Deck. That is the developer's own wording, and it is the only handheld route that exists right now. It is also why some Switch-shaped questions get a "sort of" answer — a Steam Deck is a handheld PC, not a console port.
