The official wiki has no wedding article — the topic redirects into the middle of the Marriage page. Here is everything that page actually says about the day itself, plus the patch note that changed it.

What actually happens on the day
The wedding day is a semi-interactive cutscene rather than a normal playable day. When you wake up you are immediately escorted to the guest room at the Inn to get dressed.
There you are given a selection of wedding outfits. This choice matters beyond the ceremony: the outfit you pick is yours to keep permanently, even after the wedding is over.
Once you have chosen, the ceremony begins and occupies the rest of the day. You do not lose a day of farm work for it — watering crops, feeding and petting animals are all taken care of by the townsfolk while you are busy.
You cannot get married on these three days
Patch v1.0.3 added a restriction that older guides do not have: festival setup days can no longer be selected as wedding days.
Those days are Spring 14, Fall 7 and Winter 7.
The change is flagged in the patch notes with the developer's 🌼 marker, which they use whenever a change came from community feedback.
The day after
Your spouse moves into the farmhouse and their daily schedule changes. In the mail you receive 3 pieces of their personal furniture — or 4 if you married Juniper. Each spouse interacts with their own furniture differently once you place it down.
Two weeks later, going to bed triggers the conversation about having children.
What we are not showing you yet
This page has no outfit gallery. The wedding outfits are a visual question and deserve real screenshots, and we would rather ship them from the developer's own press kit assets than describe them from memory. They are coming. In the meantime, everything above is text the official wiki actually says.
